Our Mission

At Foundation Movement & Fitness, we help our clients develop quality movement patterns, correct posture and get out of pain. It is our philosophy that by further educating and empowering our clients on how to properly use their bodies and to be in touch with themselves, we improve their quality of life.


What is a POSTURAL Alignment and Functional Movement SPECIALIST?

People call me all sorts of different things. “Body worker” “posture person “voodoo witch doctor” or just my name, Lorae. My technical title, though, is a Postural Alignment and Functional Movement Specialist. That is quite a mouthful hence the many nicknames I have been given.

In short, I basically fix your posture. I do this through analyzing how you move and then creating a personalized program that will get you to where you need to be so that you are no longer in pain and know how to move well. By the time we reach your goals, you will be at a point where you have a new relationship with your body and can maintain that for the rest of your life, far after you leave me.

The longer explanation is that after analyzing your movement patterns and static posture, I create a custom program of exercises that over time will help you to develop quality movement patterns and healthier lifestyle habits. We explain to you and show you your muscular imbalances and teach you why we are doing what we’re doing. It may seem surprising but much of this work is neurological. Together we retrain your neurological pathways to fire your muscles correctly, stretch tight fascia, stabilize your joints so you can live and move pain free!

Remember this is more than just fixing your physical movement. We are focused on your overall health and wellbeing. We will work together to figure out how to create habits that will create lasting change in your life. We want to grow into new routines that will benefit your health long term.
